GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Under general supervision, will inspect and conduct on-site
inventories of specific physical assets within residence hall
buildings and (a) compile comprehensive inventory summaries,
(b) assemble updated, detailed floor plans, and (c) prepare
specified reports for analysis.
GENERAL DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in preparation activities for the opening
of residence halls and apartments.
SPECIFIC STAFF RESPONSIBILITIES: (typical
activities)
Compiles dimensions for various areas throughout the residence
halls.
Compiles data on the condition/count of specific fixed
assets for the purpose of preventive maintenance and/or
timed replacement.
Checks the condition and locations of university owned
furniture and reports deficiencies.
Removes abandoned bikes from residential communities on
campus and moves them to a designated storage area.
Conducts manager�s check inspections of all resident rooms
before fall opening.� Manager�s checks are the final inspection
of resident rooms prior to fall occupancy.� Each room is
checked for cleanliness, the proper type and amount of furniture
and major deficiencies (arrangement of furniture, trash
pick up, etc.) during the inspection.
Reports on the conditions of numerous fixtures in the
residence halls.
Performs additional duties as needed throughout the summer
(that may or may not be directly related to inventory).
