You can report a facility issue by visiting Facilities Service Central's web-based portal. There, you can easily submit requests, track progress in real time, upload images and documents, and manage everything in one place.

Our Commitment to Excellence 

The Department of Residential Facilities maintains and provides housekeeping services for more than 70 residence halls, Greek chapter houses, and recreational facilities at the College Park campus, covering over 2.7 million square feet. With a team of over 300 staff members, including student employees, our mission is to enhance the student experience by creating and caring for the campus environment.

  • Residential Facilities Housekeepers Honored at President’s Luncheon

    Seven Residential Facilities housekeepers were honored for their exceptional dedication and service on September 16, 2025, at the University of Maryland’s Appreciation Luncheon in the University House. Alongside housekeepers from Facilities Management, the honorees received certificates of appreciation from President Pines and enjoyed a special lunch in their honor.

  • Chestertown Hall Renovation: A Showcase of DRF Excellence

    This past year, the Department of Residential Facilities (DRF) demonstrated what it means to deliver results Fearlessly Forward with the successful renovation of Chestertown Hall. An ambitious transformation project with the goal of opening the residence hall in August 2025 to welcome students and RAs for the new academic year. Thanks to vision, determination, and teamwork, DRF completed the project on time at a cost of approximately $2.5 million.
